The holidays are upon us we have the gift of some great fishing right now.
On a recent grouper trip to bag a few gags before the season closes at the end of the month, we had big kingfish skyrocketing all around us. We got a limit of gags, so there was nothing to do but put on some live baits and catch a king or two. Ended up with one fish of about 40 pounds and another king that went about 20 pounds. Inshore, big snook and even a tarpon.
The weather has stayed long well into the year, making all this great action possible. There is some cold weather coming as this is being written, but I have a feeling we’re going to rebound afterward and get right back to the action.
